Tebul

Watertight sliding door system
TEBUL OY was established in Finland in 1942 for the production of hydraulic machinery and equipment for the shipbuilding and other industry. The first ship steering gear was delivered in 1952, and the first watertight bulkhead doors in 1961. Today watertight bulkhead sliding doors are the main product of TEBUL OY. The company was merged with Wärtsilä in 1964, and emerged as an independent company again in 1988 following the reorganization of the former Wärtsilä Marine activities. The present company structure was established in 1992.
Strict quality control and assurance procedures are applied by TEBUL OY throughout planning, production, installation and service as part of the total Customer commitment policy adopted.
Nicoverken introduces the new Tebul watertight sliding bulkhead door. The new WT sliding door is now fully DC electric. Tebul range also covers modular AC electric WT sliding door with hydraulic emergency operation.
The door frame design is available in 3 types:
SLIM LINE specially for Super Yachts
STANDARD for Ro-Ro/ passenger ships and cruise liners
OFFSHORE for extreme conditions, water head up to 50 meters

All types can be designed with different opening sizes according to the ship specification. Tebul doors meet up-to-date SOLAS requirements and each door is individually tested and approved by the Classification society.
Further advantages of Tebul WT Door System compared with the conventional type of wt door:
Tebul system comes as a complete, fully assembled and operational module with no loose parts which means quick and easy installation.
The door module is a self-supporting element of the bulkhead itself, with no additional stiffening needed.
The rigid door module needs no further adjustments after factory tests. Even the welding of the door into the ship’s structure does not cause distortion.
When operating the door, there is no contact between seat surfaces, as the sliding door plate is guided to move exactly between the seats. There is contact only when the door is affected by a water head. There is no need of maintenance for gaskets or door frame.
All components needed for the operation are located next to the door opening with an easy access. The rest of the door module can be built in to the ship’s lay-out: between cabins, tanks, voids etc.
In the hydraulic emergency system there is not a continuous pressure, as it is only hand powered in case of power black- out.
In fully electric version, also the emergency hand power is electrical: there are 2 pieces of 24 VDC generators with hand cranks located at the door unit and one above the main deck.
Tebul door system can be easily designed to meet individual requirements in various ship types.
